| Low Cost and Easy Saturation | |

Chopped strand fiberglass mat is the most extensively used reinforcement in the fiberglass industry. The advantages of mat versus fabrics are their low cost and how easily they conform to contours. They do not offer the strength characteristics of fabrics, but are ideal for low cost, rapid build ups. Meets MIL-M-43248C, Type 1, Class 2, Grade A. Chopped strand mat contains a binder which prevents proper bonding with any epoxy resins. Use our polyester or vinyl ester resins with chopped strand mat. |

Continuous strand mats are frequently used when rapid build-up and high conformability is required. When used for vacuum infusion, continuous strands will facilitate resin flow without the slowing effect frequently caused by chopped strand binders. 1.5 oz.

18 oz. Fiberglass roving stitched to a 1.5 oz. chopped strand mat, this fabric quickly adds strength and buildup while simultaneously aiding resin infusion. Because it is stitched rather than woven, there are no crimps to hinder resin travel. But dont use it just for infusion; Knit Bi-axial fabric is commonly used in the marine world and other applications.

Scrim cloth can be used in repair applications or for reinforcement of other types of materials including fiberglass, concrete and some plastics. When fully cured, the scrim cloth will add reinforcement and mimic the expansion and contraction of the surrounding substrate. |

Laminate Bulkers |

| Lightweight alternative to multiple layers of fiberglass! The 2mm and 4mm Laminate Bulkers are made out of fine polyester, non-woven, multi-directional fibers that provide equal strength characteristics in both the length and width directions. By allowing easier resin distribution throughout a part, these Laminate Bulkers act as strong interlaminate links between different layers of reinforcement. Also, Laminate Bulker materials add screw retention capabilities to laminate parts. Compared to bulk laminating with fiberglass, these Laminate Bulkers provide tremendous weight savings.
